What got us started?

My nephew’s got rich parents. He was sick that day. Plastics were burning outside the hospital. And I thought, rich or poor, why should any child get sick with plastic?

My worry began on the day I saw plastics in garbage burning outside the gate of a reputed hospital in South Delhi, India. I was there visiting a very young nephew who was admitted for his breathing troubles (I am not sure if it was because of plastics, but yeah, plastics can cause this). This was some years ago. Thankfully, they’ve cleared the garbage since.

Since then, I FEAR that children, both rich and poor, have greater risk of getting sick with plastic. And I BELIEVE that Pockito is the easiest solution with which you can give a safer, richer life to your child.

Hi, my name is Mohak. I’m lesser known as the founder of Pockito and lesser still for anything else! Pockito is the purpose and the passion for me.

So here it is…Pockito is the ‘pursuit of happiness’ powered by simple understanding of human behaviours. In our right mind, we don’t throw our money or our name ‘image’ in garbage. We also like to keep growing, honestly if possible.

Hence I BELIEVE that a human won’t throw the plastic in garbage if there’s money in it. Even if one has enough money already, Pockit Money in Plastic can be a good tool. It can be used to teach one’s child the habit of ‘saving-to-get-rich’. It can be used to help a needy. What ever choses to do, with plastic not going in garbage, lesser and lesser of plastic and plastic-toxins will enter the food and the child’s body.

Who owns this plastic… I, you, a brand, a petrochemical company, a recycler? This question kept popping in my head when my quest to figure a solution to plastic problem started back in the day.

Now, I BELIEVE that Pockito will make every plastic everyone’s plastic. Poetic much?! Today each one of us is in-together in Pockito. This is Pockito’s proof-of-concept development stage. From this point on each of us will discover personal Pockito benefits - as a consumer, as a brand, as a recycler, as a petrochemical company etc. And we will also discover the larger collective benefits of our join pursuit of giving our kids a better life.

But can you even imagine that it took me years to figure this. And it took me to meet, engage and collect scrap from 5,000+ families and brands under myriad start-up brand names. That’s how bright slow I am. But why don’t you be the judge on that and let me know how you feel
